Orthodontic Outreach

Dr. Kuncio loves his job, and his work provides a crucial medical service that is unattainable for so many people in need.  At Kuncio Orthodontics, we show our gratitude for our patients and the work we do by giving back to the community, both locally and globally.

Local Outreach

Dr. Kuncio works with the local New York City community by visiting schools, campuses, and religious communities to teach children and adults how to practice strong oral care on a budget and in the most sustainable, natural ways possible.  He is also a Smiles Change Lives volunteer, donating orthodontic treatment to children and adults in the city experiencing extreme poverty.

Global Outreach

Dr. Kuncio enjoys volunteer work overseas, as well.  Thus far, he has performed greatly needed dental work on orphans in remote Armenia, and assisted a mobile medical/dental unit in Ukraine.

Teaching

Dr. Kuncio has given back to the medical community by following in the footsteps of his mentors and teaching orthodontic residents.  He has been an assistant professor of orthodontics at both Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine and BronxCare Health System/Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.   Dr. Kuncio truly enjoys passing on the benefit of his knowledge, experience, and expertise.

Publishing

Uncommon in the private-practice orthodontics, Dr. Kuncio has published his findings on Invisalign technology, and in several other peer-reviewed areas.  He will continue to contribute by performing research and publishing as much as he can to benefit the medical and dental community, locally and abroad.

Dental Community

Dr. Kuncio is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Board of Orthodontics.  He frequently gives lectures on Invisalign® and other topics to dentists in the New York City metropolitan area.
